Twentymile Fly 'N' Float Want to try Heli-Rafting? This trip really gets you out there, and is great for the whole family! Start the day with a breathtaking helicopter flight from Girdwood (36 miles from Anchorage). Travel through the Chugach Mountains landing on Carmen Lake or Twentymile Lake. Carmen Lake is a clear alpine lake, the headwaters for the Twentymile River. Twentymile Lake is the home of Twentymile Glacier, with amazing walls of ice.
The trip downstream takes you through the roadless Alaskan wilderness for twelve stunning miles. The trip ends at the New Seward Highway on the Turnagain Arm. A shore side lunch is included.
Keep a good look out for wildlife … you might see bears, moose, bald eagles, salmon, and waterfowl. This scenic tour allows for plenty of sightseeing and photo opportunities.
