We are committed to providing you with the most qualified guides who are comfortable making decisions in the field. Good river safety starts with awareness. Your guides will do their best to be aware of your needs and desires. We intend to keep you challenged and entertained, yet not compromise our safety considerations. Your guide’s instructions and your commitment to follow them are paramount to an enjoyable and safe day in the Alaskan backcountry. Respect your guide’s decisions, but don't be afraid to ask questions about our decision making process.
Our experienced river guides are trained extensively in swift water rescue techniques, first aid and backcountry survival. Safety kayakers accompany rafts on all whitewater excursions to assist in the event of an overturned raft.
The staff at Chugach Adventure Guides has a deep respect for our river environment and wishes to impress that respect upon our guests.
