The
Twentymile Fly 'N' Float Adventure
This trip really gets you out there! Start
the day with a short breathtaking helicopter flight from Girdwood (36 miles
from Anchorage) through the Chugach Mountains landing on Carmen Lake, the
headwaters for the Twentymile River. The trip downstream (we row, you relax!)
takes you along the 20-mile river and ends at the New Seward Highway on
the Turnagain Arm where freshwater meets saltwater. Bald eagles,
moose, wolves, bears, mountain goats, waterfowl and seabirds may be spotted.
We provide you with a ¾ length rain jacket (with hood), rubber boots,
a life jacket, lunch and beverage. You bring warm clothes, a hat,
gloves, binoculars, a camera and lots of film, kick back and look for wildlife
and at other sights.
(Let us know if you’d prefer to paddle.
We might be able to accommodate this).
